Want to be stagefront for Lady A? Get close for Aldean’s performance? Snap an ultra-good shot of Mr. McGraw, or see Martina’s tonsils while she belts it out? With the CMA Music Festival four-day ticket, you can do it all. You see, CMA Music Festival prides itself on bringing the incredible artists and the super-dedicated fans together. A cool way the Fest closes the gap between performer and audience are the Fan Photo Lines at LP Field and Riverfront Park. Festival newcomers may be asking themselves just what the Fan Photo Lines are, while the Fest vets know what a cool and unique element it is.
The Fan Photo Lines are the stream of fans that run directly in front of the stages at LP Field (yes, all the way down front!) and also at Riverfront Park during the daytime. The basic idea is that no matter where you’re seated in a nearly 70,000-seat stadium, if you’re a four-day ticket holder, you can get up close to your favorite stars as they light up the night or heat up the day!
How it works at the Riverfront Park Stage:
- Know the show lineup! For the lineup, you can check the Pocket Guide you get at Registration, the forthcoming CMA Fest iPhone app or the forthcoming custom schedule (more on these items soon!) you can build at CMAfest.com.
- When your favorite stars are playing, make your way to the left side of the stage – camera in tow…
- Security will check passes and allow all four-day ticket holders admittance to the line.
- Snap your photos, and make that star connection!
- Repeat as desired.
How it works at LP Field:
- Again, know when your favorites are coming up by checking the Pocket Guide, the iPhone app or your custom schedule from CMAfest.com…
- When you ID which artists you want to photograph from the Photo Line, make your way to the Concourse at LP Field.
- Line formation starts in the North End Zone (behind the stage), and there will be separate lines for each performer.
- Staff will be on site to cue the line to start. You’ll be directed down the steps of the LP Field Lower Bowl (East side, section 110) to pass in front of the stage to get your photo!
- Upon passing, you will be directed up the stairs at section 137 (West side), back to the Concourse. (Four-day ticket holders with Gold Circle and Field-level seating may be directed back onto the field toward their seat.)
- Repeat as desired.
ADA Access at LP Field:
- Four-day ticket holders in field-level ADA sections WILL be able to enter the Fan Photo Line from the field. Go to stage left (the right side of the stage as you face the stage). Confused yet? Well, you’ll see the traffic flow in front of the stage. Go to the side where the traffic starts to pass in front of the stage… :-)
- Four-day ticket holders in other ADA seating levels will have access to an elevator to take them onto the field to enter the Fan Photo Line. Proceed to the ramp near gates 2-3 (behind section 104) to access the elevator.
Things to note:
- In order to accommodate all the fans who want to participate in the Fan Photo Line, the line must be kept moving. Staff will be present to help direct the traffic flow.
- With the exception of ADA seat ticket holders, all four-day ticket holders must access the Fan Photo Line by lining up on the Concourse Level.
- Fan Photo Line admittance is reserved exclusively for four-day ticket holders only. Single-night concert ticket holders will not be admitted.
- Above all else BE SAFE and HAVE FUN!
Whether your four-day ticket is on the field, in the lower bowl, club-level or upper-level, you can have that FRONT-ROW EXPERIENCE in the Fan Photo Line. Just another way CMA Music Festival is different from the rest!

Thank you for keeping the direct access to the photo line for fans in wheelchairs. It is a blessing for all of us with disabled family members. It can be challenging to navigate the festival at times, but things like this help so much. One question, is the Riverfront concerts open to the public again this year? It makes it very hard to get a person in a wheelchair from the seating area down to the stage area, or even to a restroom. If it is, can there be security to keep people moving on the upper walkway. It gets very blocked by people standing there to watch the show, leaving very little room to get through. I hope it is being reconsidered. Thanks for the opportunity to give our input.
I thought people with gold circle seats got to enter the photo line from the field, are they not doing that anymore? That was what was so great about gold circle… what’s the difference now?
I guess they just have the best seats now. My guess is that because there are so many people in the gold circle going into the line, some of the people that wait in line up in the Concourse may not make it down in front of the stage before the performance is over. Nothing would be worse than waiting in that line for most of the night to see your favorite star or group, only to have them finish before you get to the stage. Maybe a consession could be made that allows the gold circle ticket holders to go straight into the line from the field after the line from the Concourse has come down to the field…just a thought.
They changed that last year, and lost my business because of it. It was my main reason for going– to get great photos (i could usually go through the line twice during each artist’s set with gold circle field access). I hate being in a corral like cattle in the innards of the stadium. I did that the first year, and swore I’d never do it again. Now, you have no choice but to pick one or two artists and wait in line for their performances, you’ll get a few snaps of each artist and you’ll be waiting in line during the rest of the performances…
I have a question… while your waiting in line, can you still see the performances? Do you have to wait in line all night until the person you want to see comes on stage? For instance, I will be waiting for Keith Urban. Do I get in line right away and just wait or is there a certain time to come and wait? And will I be able to still see the stage to see what’s going on while I wait?
No, you can’t see the stage from where you wait in line at. That’s why I was so excited about getting gold circle, because I thought we wouldn’t have to miss anything, but apparently they changed that last year. I’m not real sure about when you need to get in line, definately before he goes on but I’m not sure how early exactly. He will obviously be one with a larger line so I’m sure you’ll have to wait longer than me when I’m waiting to see the AMAZING Justin Moore! P.S. – if you haven’t seen him, prepare to fall in love with a tiny lil man! ha
Man, that’s gonna suck if I miss any part of his performance! Damn!
when do we get the schedule of who performs at what time ????
I think you get that when you register at Bridgestone Arena.
They used to have access to the performance schedules for all venues on this website. I don’t know if they are doing it again this year. It was nice because you could look over all the performances during the day, print them out and plan ahead. Since the site has changed, I’m not sure what will be available. Another change I noticed is that there seems to be fewer performers scheduled each day at the Riverfront. I wonder if their sets will be longer or if there will be more performers added to the line up.
Hi Shirl! Great questions! Full schedule information will be posted VERY soon, along with more performance stage lineups. However, the current Riverfront lineup posted is complete, unless scheduling changes occur. Check back often, and we’ll do our very best to get you the information you need. Thanks!
Does yall think this event will be cancelled on account of them floods?
I don’t think it will be totally canceled, but maybe postponed. LP Field is under water, as we as bridgestone arena and the riverfront… lots of damage to fix.
