To our wonderful fans who have shared their well wishes, thoughts and prayers, we appreciate your outreach. Your support means the world to us and to the residents of our great city.
As many of you know, the City of Nashville and much of middle Tennessee have withstood severe storms and flooding over the May 1-2 weekend. For much of our area, there is devastation and loss. However, we are grateful and blessed that much of the area is spared and unaffected. Now comes the opportunity to band together, to unify to clean up our community and restore Music City’s glory – to, in effect, Keep The Music Playing!
CMA Music Festival will go on as scheduled in our planned venues. As the flood waters recede this week, the cleanup will begin so that Nashville will be ready, willing and eager to host Country Music’s most loyal legion of fans for the Ultimate Country Music Fan Experience, June 10-13.

So, YES! CMA Music Festival will go on as planned.
There are some of you who were booked at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel. It, unfortunately is under water. You should have (or soon will) receive a letter informing you that your reservation for Music Fest is cancelled. Don’t fret. We are working on finding some options for you so you can re-book yourselves. Those will be communicated to you soon.
Thank you for all your wonderful notes and emails reaching out to our community. We will recover and look forward to hosting you in June for CMA Music Festival.
Thank you for this update. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected by this horrible flooding. I love Nashville.

Thank you very much for the update!!! I am thankful, I suppose that I booked my hotel last week. God bless all the residents of Nashville and the states of TN, KY, and MS. Hopefully, the national media will give you the attention you deserve (because I feel like they have kinda forgotten you) .
So excited, counting the days down. Wish I was there now to help you guys out with the clean.
Prayers & thoughts are with you.

Thank you so much for the update. Only thing is we were booked at Opryland, and we are now searching for another hotel. So I would be interested in what you are doing for Opryland guests?
Justin, go to http://ht.ly/1Hiaq for help finding new hotel. On Monday you can call the Nashville Convention & Visitors Bureau at 800-657-6910. The phones should be back up by then.
I am in the same boat. I purchased my BIG TICKET package through the Gaylord Opryland Hotel. They are refunding my money. Does that mean that I lost my 2 BIG TIckets that I purchased through them also. I am at a loss of what to do. The hotel is not responding to my e-mails. Thanks
Hi Kathie and other Gaylord guests- we are aggressively working with Gaylord and the Nashville Convention and Visitors Bureau to help fans who were booked at the hotel find alternate accommodations. You should receive communication from Gaylord tomorrow if you haven’t already but yes, you will be given the option to keep the tickets you purchased from them. As Ben noted above, the CVB is a great resource and they are eager to assist each fan affected by this move. We are looking forward to seeing everyone in Music City in a few weeks!
Opryland Hotel is not responding to my emails either. The problem is that when you prepay for a room or a package with them, you should not have to wait 30 days to get the refund from them. I understand the flood was terrible. We had lots of damage where I live as well as major flooding in areas that had never been underwater. However, for the amount of money I paid Opryland Hotel four months ago for reservations they need to realize that money is needed to make other reservations elsewhere. The reservations I made were for my 20 year wedding anniversary on May 7th. Due to the flooding and having to wait 30 days for a refund my anniversary will have to wait. Opryland Hotel does not seem to assuring when I contact them by phone to check the status of the refund so that we can plan a trip elsewhere. I am very unhappy with them at this point. If they would just tell me what was taking so long, I might be more understanding.
My heart goes out to all the people in Nashville! I love this city and cannot wait until June 10th for CMAfest 2010!!!!! The best to all the workers helping to get Music City back in order!
Awesome news!! Can’t wait to come to Nashville again this summer! Will be our 10th year in a row! We love it and Nashville!! Our hearts and prayers go out to those affected! Have done our part to donate to flood relief to help the many victims of this!!
Thanks for the update. So glad the show will go on. We were there 13 years ago and am very anxious to return. We will be camping at a campground about 20 miles away and hopefully that wasn’t affected.
It’s great the CMAFest will go on. We had reserv at the Opryland hotel as well. Eager to hear what the options will be. I would gladly take a refund on the CMAFest tickets at this point.
Jacque, go to http://ht.ly/1Hiaq for help finding new hotel. On Monday you can call the Nashville Convention & Visitors Bureau at 800-657-6910. The phones should be back up by then.
Jacque – We certainly hope consider making alternate accommodations. Our city is amazing and so is this event — we would love to see you in Music City! Per Ben’s note, please utilize the CVB for help in relocating. They are happy and eager to assist you with that process.
I’m Gloria and I’m italian. Every year I come to Nashville for music festival and also this year I will be in your wonderful city. the only way I have to help Nashville is to spend my dollars in town.
You are in my heart and in my prayers. be strong and keep the faith.

I am praying for everyone in Nashville that was effected by the flood. I am so glad that the CMA Music Festival will go on as planned! I have been going now for 5 years & there is NO where else I would be…I LOVE IT!!! Everyone is so friendly. GOD BLESS NASHVILLE!
I purchased the BIG TICKET package at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel which includes the concerts for all four days. They have advivsed me that they are going to refund my money. Does that mean that I have lost the two BIG TICKETS that I purchased. If anyone knows anything about this, please let me know. The hotel is not responding to my e-mails.
Please note you haven’t lost the big tickets- see some of the comments above with the same question.
Please be patient with the hotel. We are just now beginning to pick up the pieces from this massive flood. Give everyone a few days.

Does anyone know if the airport areawas flooded ?
Hi Anne- Unfortunately the severe flooding occurred at several points in and around Nashville. The airport itself is clear, however.
I was there last year and had a blast. That was my 4th visit to the CMA Fest. Decided not to attend this year but will DEFINITELY be there next year. I wish you all the best for the upcoming Festival. God knows you have lots of work to do to prepare but just know you are in our thoughts and prayers – I know it will be a huge success in spite of the hardships you are facing. Country music fans are the best!! All the best from one of your biggest Canadian fans!!!
